  • Gas extraction network

    Aspec was designed and implemented gas extraction network by drilling more than 900Gas wells & connecting wells supline then to the main line then to the flares or biogenerators.

     The network was equipped with gas monitoring check points anda special condensate units.

    Aspec  withdrawa quantity of landfill gas that approaches 15000 m3 / hour of landfill’ gas in preparation to burn it in an environmental-friendly flares and /or produce electricity.

    Flaring Units

    ASPEC Group has provided the site with advanced flaring units that were specially manufactured according to the project's specifications in cooperation with the Swiss partner Hofstetter. These units are burning the gas safely at 1200 ° C to get rid of any Harmful components.

    In a projects that was the first of its kind in the Kingdom, about 2MW / hour has been produced using the extractedlandfill gas after treating it by gas-treatment stations where water andother harmful gases & components are excluded, then passing it tospecially designedBio-generators as a pilot projects, in preparation to construct an electrical power stations using landfill gas withexpected capacity of 30MWt / Hour.
